Goat Cheeses - both Raw and Pasteurized Goat Cheeses|
My wife and four children are the fourth generation on our family farm. We have always strived to be as sustainable as possible in our crop and dairy goat operation. After graduating from ISU in 1981, I came back to the farm and slowly took the operation over. Recently our son, his wife, and their two children have moved to the farm to help grow the goat cheese business. As a family we have always strived to be as sustainable as possible in our crop and dairy goat production. We always wanted to produce and sell our own farm grown products. The goat dairy is giving us this opportunity by selling our goat cheeses.

Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
We use all natural products for our goat herd health. We don't use any anitbiotics or drugs in our herd. Our cheese is made at a dairy coop that we are a member of, of which there are ten producers. All the farms use the same practices as we do: No antibiotics or growth hormones are used and we are all small family farming operations. Each producer has the opportunity to sell the goat cheese made at our coop under our own farm labels if they so wish. We are pursuing this endeavor by selling goat cheese under our own farm label, Sunset Ridge Family Farm. As a group of farmers, working together, we are able to pool our milk to produce a greater amount of high quality cheese to sell to the public. This is much more feasible than each of us having our own cheese operations on our individual farms.
Our product is 100% natural and healthy, no colorings or additives, a rich delicate flavor. Our products are also made from RBGH free goat milk!
