Threshing Floor began when my husband began bee keeping on a very small scale. A family member had an overstock of muskmelon and ask us to help him sell it at our busy intersection of Hwy 44 and 169. Tomatoes and sweet corn soon joined the muskmelons and various overstock of vegetables from our garden. I was introduced to a Bosch mixer and a whole grain grinder a few years later and added bread to our corner sales. I love to bake bread and do it off and on to help out financially and when requested.

My 7-grain cereal comes from Paul's Grains from Laurel, IA which is a chemical-free farm. We use raw honey from Bee Haven in Perry. I am using Iowa grown organic wheat from Early Morning Harvest in Panora in my Iowa breads. I grind my whole grains into flour for my whole grain breads. The white flour is King Arthur brand.
Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
My baking is done in my licensed home kitchen. I use a mix when it comes to natural products. We use a minimum of spray to control insect pests.
I like the idea of using Iowa produced products in my breads!
