The Popsie Fish Company is a three generation family fishing enterprise. We have been catching wild alaskan salmon from the icy waters of the Egegik District of Bristol Bay since 1987. We offer the best and tastiest fresh frozen and smokes salmon available.

Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
We fish from shore using the set-net method. Each fish is hand picked from the gill net, bled, put in slush ice, and shipped daily (within 6 hrs.) to our processor for packaging and flash freezing.
We are committed to providing you with the highest quality and tastiest frozen and smoked salmon available. Wild Alaskan salmon is rated by the Monteray Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch as 'Best Choice'. Comparably, Atlantic (farmed) salmon is rated as "Avoid".

Delicious wild caught Alaskan Sockeye salmon caught by our crew in Bristol Bay, Alaska is now available in 6 oz.cans. Unlike most canned salmon, the salmon we use is our own premium #1 sockeye. It has been skinned, deboned and fully cooked prior to canning. This quality product is ready to eat out of the can. Our favorite is over pasta or in a salmon salad sandwich. Our wild caught Alaskan Sockeye salmon is marinated with a subtle blend of spices and smoked with Alder wood. Served chilled, smoked salmon makes a wonderful appetizer but is also a delicious topping for salads and pastas. Ingredients: Wild Alaskan Salmon, Brown Sugar, Kosher Salt, Garlic, Spices, Natural Alder Smoke.

Sockeye Whole Fillet

The second most abundant Alaska Salmon species is Sockeye. The distinct, deep red flesh retains its color throughout cooking, and brings dramatic impact to any presentation. The average weight of our fillets is between 1 and 2 lbs. These 2014 Sockeye were caught by ourselves and our neighbors' set netting crews in the Egegik district of Bristol Bay Alaska. This year's catch has been trimmed closely with the belly fat and pin bones removed.
