Describe your farming, processing and/or crafting practices. (if applicable) | All of my mushrooms begin in a sterile environment controlled by positive pressure airflow of HEPA cleaned air which removes 99.99% of particles from the air down to the size of .3 microns. My mushrooms begin isolated on petri dishes and are grown there until they near the edge of the dish. At this point they are transferred to grain which has been sterilized in a pressure cooker at 15psi for 90 minutes. The mushrooms grow out on the grain until each kernel has been colonized without any contaminations. At this point it is transferred to sterilized sawdust which is its final substrate it colonizes before creating a fruiting body. Each step of transfer is done in a clean room in front of a HEPA flow hood in order to isolate the mushrooms from any competitors, ranging from molds and bacteria to viruses or even other mushroom spores. My entire facility is routinely cleaned from top to bottom to ensure cleanliness and removal of anything that could harbor contaminants to the mushrooms. There are no chemicals, pesticides or fungicides used in the production of my mushrooms and all practices from selection of substrates to packaging end product are done with the thought of, would I feed this to my own family and children in mind. |
