We are an Amish family farm from near Moulton, Iowa. We raise all of our livestock humanely, naturally, and on pasture with rotational grazing practices and plenty of fresh air and sunshine. We use no growth promoters, medications or antibiotics. We work hard to provide a clean comfortable environment for our pigs. They are raised entirely outdoors from start to finish, treated humanely, no antibiotics, no growth hormones, have constant access to quality organic pasture or stored organic forages in the winter months. We also combine this with enough small organic grains to reach the goal of well marbled meat resulting in a great tasting and healthy product. We raise our cattle on pasture. We use rotational grazing practices and feed our cattle stored hay in the winter. We are not certified organic but use no sprays or chemicals on our fields. We manage our farm with the philosophy that “nature knows best.” In doing so, we let cattle be cattle and chickens be chickens, and there they live their life out the way that nature has intended. Our method of farming builds soil fertility and reduces erosion while raising exceptionally healthy (and delicious!) meats. We use heritage breeds of cattle and chickens in an integrated manner which mimics nature’s way of succession in the food chain (the birds follow the cattle around their grazing grounds a couple of days later to feed on the insects which gather there).
