Brown/Green/White Natural Free-Range Chicken Eggs About Us Angel Acres is a small hobby farm near Summerset Winery in Warren County. We produce all natural chickens, brown chicken eggs using organic and sustainable methods. We believe that nature knows what she is doing, and if we help out a little and take care of what we have, she'll share her bounty with us. Browse through our Products for Sale Ingredients Organic Barley Fodder provides increased Omega-3 content in the eggs. Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) Nature does much of the work. We do not feed hormones or antibiotics. Our hens free range all day, and eat as many bugs and plants as their hearts desire. The gals get a diet of organic barley fodder, and is supplemented with vegetables, pumpkins, mulberries and apples. When it comes to the chickens' health, we believe prevention is the key. Their coop gets a quick cleaning every day, a full cleaning every week, and a deep cleaning every 3 months (taking everything out and scrubbing it down). The chicken coop has a small green house on the west end which increases the tempeature with We also check our birds every day and have a quarantine area set up in case we find a bird that does have a health issue, thus minimizing anything spreading through our birds. Additional Information I am a college student enrolled in Culinary Arts at DMACC. I purchased the whole business including all of the chickens and all of the equipment and coop. The quality and commitment has not changed. Highlights this Month This month, we have beautiful fresh brown/green/shite eggs! Since they are all natural, they have a bright yellow yolk, and a wonderful taste! |
