Yellow River Dairy and Creamery is an 80 acre farm owned by the Lund family. We have been milking dairy goats for over 20 years and currently have a herd of Saanens, Alpines, and Toggenburgs.

We use all natural ingredients in our cheeses, starting with a non-gmo rennet. All our products are batch pasteurized, except our raw milk cheese, and hand packaged. We use "eco-packaging" tubs for our chev, and source our cheese ingredients from a local coop.
Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
Yellow River Dairy "walks the talk" by using sustainable farming practices. We "create nutrition" in our products by feeding a grain/forage based diet to our dairy milkers. Our milkers are on rotational pasture in the spring, summer, and fall. All their forage is raised on the farm from a special mix of grasses. Our goats are also fed whey from the creamery and we compost all our manure for spreading on our fields.
Yellow River Dairy is truly a family owned business, in that we are proud to have as our cheesemaker, son Tim, who has completed the Wisconsin cheesemaker and pasteurizer course. All family members help with the jobs associated with a farm business.
