Dogpatch Urban Gardens is an urban farm located just north of Beaverdale off of Meredith Drive. This is the first grow season for Dogpatch Urban Gardens and we are excited to serve the Des Moines Metro with sustainable and naturally grown produce. DUG is a market garden and our produce is grown using all natural methods; meaning we do not use synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. DUG also places emphasis on sustainability by using grow methods that help build & improve the soil while limiting our dependency on fossil fuels. People have used elderberry for its health benefits for hundreds of years. Elderberry contains antioxidants, and many believe it can relieve colds, fight the flu, and boost the immune system. It is recommended to take a small dose daily to help fight illness and if sick you can up dosage to help fight illness faster.
This syrup is made with locally picked berries and all organic ingredients (including local honey from MeadowBlazing Star).
Sold in 8oz bottles. Not recommended for children under the age of one because it does contain honey.
The product needs to remain refrigerated and is good for 3 month after the bottling date or can be frozen for up to 6 months.
