About Us Grimm Family Farm is part of a three generation family farm. Owners Jason and Hannah Grimm farm with Jason's grandparents and parents. Together they share the management of farm tasks from planting, weeding, harvesting, and marketing. The family farm sits above the English River Valley in Iowa County where it lies at the top of the watershed of three streams that flow into the English River. Grimm Family Farm is a new and growing farm business. Farm production happens in town in Jason and Hannah's backyard and at the family farm. The family farm raises corn, hay, oats, beef cattle and poultry in addition to produce and dry edible beans. In addition to Jason's many small farm enterprises Jason is the Food System Planner at the Iowa Valley RC&D where he guides the redevelopment of Iowa Valley's Regional Food System. Jason believes that a community based food system is the foundation of a resilient and productive community. Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) On our farm we use a 4 year rotation system and incorporate our livestock into the rotation to a create a closed nutrient cycle. All weed management is done by hand or mechanical cultivation |
