This is being sent to everyone who ordered. Today is distribution at all sites except Ames, which is tomorrow. Our alternative pick up is Saturday from 10:30 am to noon at our Franklin Plaza site. Some quick notes:

• We will be sampling live microgreens from Sunrise this cycle, and rumor has it that there may also be ice cream cake from WW Homestead, which is a new product they are thinking of adding to their selection.
  
• If you are picking up at our Franklin Avenue site, please check out and see what’s available in our Retail Center.

• We will be sampling Iowa Orchard apples this cycle at our drop off sites.
• At Franklin, we’ll also be sampling tabbouleh salad from Nagi’s Falafel. It’s is a vegetarian salad they are thinking of selling through the IFC that’s made of tomatoes, finely chopped parsley, mint, bulgur, and onion, and seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, and salt.
• Lost Lake Farm isn’t gonna be able to fill their order. We got this in an email last night: “We aren’t able to get our order filled. We had a crazy day with the furnace quitting in the cheesery (fixed now), a sick daughter, and all the young stock getting out, so I wasn’t able to make it to Ames to your house to drop off the order. Really sorry about this. I know being a reliable source of food is really important to the success of the food coop and it’s really painful to us to leave orders unfilled.”

Our alternative pick up is Saturday from 9 am to noon at our Franklin Plaza site, which is the same time as our first ever indoor Winter Farmers’ Market. Bring your friends. Everyone can shop.

Some quick notes:

• Radiance Dairy (new IFC producer with certified organic dairy products) sent us extra half gallons of whole, 2%, and skim milk they want to give to members. If you ordered from them, you’ll get one free. If not, you can have one free as well as long as they last.
• We’ll be sampling Nagi’s Falafel hummus + pita chips at some of our drop off sites.
  
• At our Franklin Avenue site, Lynn from Herbal Bliss Tea Company will be selling and sampling tea + Fire Cider.

• Dangood Garden’s will be selling tomatoes, okra, peppers and sweet potatoes in the parking lot at Franklin Plaza.
• We‘ll be sampling Wild Rose Pastures summer sausage (at Franklin only) and Pickle Creek Herbal lavender balsamic vinegar.

Today is distribution at our Des Moines area sites (including Pleasant Hill, West Des Moines, Ankeny) as well as Albia, Indianola, and Osceola. Tomorrow is pick up in Ames.

Our alternative pick up time is Saturday from 10:30 am to noon at our Franklin Plaza site. No need to give us a heads up if you want to come Saturday.

Note: We’ll be sampling Mo’Rub Snack Peanuts at our drop off sites. At our Franklin Avenue site, we’ll be sampling Mo’Rub Chips with a dip made from their famous seasoning and Country View Dairy’s whole milk yogurt.

Also, in addition to our regular Franklin Avenue Retail Center offerings, Dangood Garden’s will be selling fresh produce in the parking lot.
